What types of surgeries are performed at Vettam Eye Hospital?

Our Cataract surgical services include phacoemulsification surgery with premium intraocular lenses, multifocals, extended depth of focus lenses and toric IOLs. We also do small incision cataract surgeries and complicated cataract surgeries.

 We also do surgeries for squint, pterygium, glaucoma, minor oculoplastic procedures and trauma to the eye.

 We also have intravitreal injections for retinal diseases, retinal LASERs and YAG LASER facility for glaucoma and posterior capsular opacification after cataract surgery.

What technologies are used at Vettam Eye Hospital for diagnosis and treatment?

We have the state of the art  operation theatre with high end phacoemulsification machine and operating microscope for doing cataract surgery, supported by a trusted biometry machine for IOL power calculation and Nd-YAG LASER machine for posterior capsular opacification after cataract surgery.

 We also have an automated perimetry machine for diagnosis and monitoring of glaucoma and visual field defects, supported by Nd-YAG LASER machine for peripheral iridotomies.

 Our Medical retina unit has facilities for fundus photography, Optical coherence tomography (OCT) and Argon-Green LASER.

 Our Pediatric Ophthalmology and squint department has facilities for orthoptics assessment, binocular vision testing and squint surgeries.

 Our Neuro-ophthalmology department has dedicated equipments for low vision rehabilitation and  training of visual perception disorders.
